More Musings from Maulden by Richard Farquharson

ISBN: 978-1-9015465-4-5

Following on from his first book, the author continues his musings week by week as, from whatever situation in which he happens to find himself, his thoughts turn to beyond the obvious.

Inspired by the sublime and the ordinary alike, whether emanating from the natural world, an English landscape, the weather, a particular location or church or simply from an interesting artefact, Richard's descriptions never disappoint.  Now many of these are brought even more alive by over 60 beautiful colour photographs contained within the book.

The author also opens the door a little wider into the world of Monasteries, Convents and Religious Communities, allowing us to enter also into these otherwise largely hidden places.

Readers of the book will find Richard's enthusiasm infectious and cannot fail to be drawn into these entertaining and informative observations and reflections.

212 pages. 63 colour photographs. Price £9

On learning of the publication of this book, former Archbishop, human rights defender and Nobel prize winner Desmond Tutu e-mailed Richard to say simply "Congratulations" (The "biggest defining moment" of Tutu's life was when, as a child, he saw Trevor Huddleston, a white member of the Community of the Resurrection*, take off his hat to greet Tutu's black Mother)

* the Community of the Resurrection is included in the book
